Yes, #MeToo by Carol Lynne Knight

Yes, #MeToo

Carol Lynne Knight

but, not the details —
as I keep stalling
in the middle
of that paragraph.

what I didn’t
know at 13 —
my young confusions —
my eyes fallen shut.

it was virginal,
vaginal,
& a single tear
that caught
& splayed across
my left cheek.

the kitchen floor,
hard & gritty,
a dusty noodle
under the stove.
